Welcome to Quilting With Tamara
Welcome to Quilting With Tamara. I believe you must bring your whole self to the table if you want to thrive in today’s crazy world: your personality, your sense of humor, and most importantly, your heart. All of these elements brought me to Quilting with Tamara.
They have also helped me through the rough spots in life. Life is too short to sit on the sidelines, and life has thrown many of us curveballs. I am blessed to have this creative outlet to help me process those difficult times. I hope you also find comfort and peace when you are being creative. As you get to know me, you will see that I love scrap quilt patterns. I will also share a variety of free quilt patterns.
Let’s Share What We Know!
Quilting With Tamara is a place to share quilting information! All levels of quilters are welcome! I write my patterns with beginning quilters in mind, but that doesn’t mean they look like beginner quilts. The quilts often look complicated, but there is usually an easy way to do it. I enjoy taking apart a difficult pattern or block to make it easier to create.
Who knows where I will end up with this page – sharing is something I love doing. There is always something to learn, whether it is quilting or not.
You could read quilt tips, participate in a mystery quilt, share recipes that taste great but are easy to make (I love suggestions!!), and read reviews on products I try. Let’s not forget about participating in the current UFO Challenge or checking out the directions for various quilt blocks in the Library. Scrap quilts are my focus in 2023. Scrap quilt patterns and block ideas can be shared on the Scrap Quilt Patterns Page. If there is a pattern you would like to see, send me a message, and I will see what I can do.
Free Quilt Pattern 2024
Join us in the Row-by-row Sampler for 2024. This pattern was created using scraps of fabrics, but that doesn’t mean you can’t use yardage. I have never been a person to work on one project at a time, and there are times that I wish I were. I buy fabrics that inspire me, but not in 2023. My goal was to use up what I had. And even though we are coming to the end of the year, I still have tons of fabric!
Quilt UFO Challenges
You will often see posts about dealing with Quilt UFOs – Unfinished Projects. Many quilters respond well to participating in a challenge, me included! I will post about each challenge at the beginning of the month. If you want to see past posts, do a search for Quilt UFO. This year (2024), I am still working out the details of the challenge. I am always open to suggestions.
