Jack’s Chain – September Update

September’s Update for Jack’s Chain

Jack's Chain Adventure

Just a quick post of my Jack’s Chain Adventure. I am supposed to be mowing the grass, but figured I would take 15 minutes to create some 9-patches. Organization was planned for this, but my 9-patch units met with a hyper pup, resulting in a bit of a mess. So, I am just winging it.

15 Minutes

It is incredible how many 9-patches I finished in 15 minutes. I will still need to trim them, but for now, I found I can create about 13 9-patches in a 15-minute span. Why is this important? Until life slows down a bit, my sewing time is very limited and I can still feel productive in a short amount of time. Now to use that same principle with other chores that need to be done around here.

Jack’s Chain Scheduled for Rainy Days

It isn’t often that I look forward to a rainy day. I usually prefer the sunshine, but a day of sewing sounds wonderful right now. September’s UFO can’t be forgotten! Enjoy the nice weather as we have it, a thought that keeps running through my head.

I will keep you posted on my progress this month. If I am lucky, there will be good progress to share. Creating one block using the hexagon and triangles may be my next focus.

Background Fabrics

I am still a bit nervous about some of my background fabrics. There is one that may be a little bit too dark. There are other options available if needed. So, I am going with the ‘Let’s play by ear’ attitude. No sense in worrying for nothing.

I would love to see what you are working on this month. Feel free to comment below or share on my Facebook page. It’s time for me to get back to mowing.

Until next time.
