Quilt UFO Buster Update
I am checking in to see how everyone is doing with March’s Quilt UFO Buster. With the help of a friend sharing a quilting weekend, I can say that mine is complete. Honestly, I probably would have given up on it several times without our little “quilt retreat.” It has been a while since I have felt that way about a project. This month I worked on a Row by Row quilt I designed in 2002. I would have to say it is one of my older UFOs. Another tote emptied!!!!
Machine Quilting
I put the Row by Row on the machine right away. Because my machine table isn’t long, I will be quilting this in sections, and it may take me the rest of the month to finish. I have a plan in mind for this project.
I will use a simple all-over meander when quilting this; otherwise, I will never finish it in time. The meandering allows the colors/pattern to shine.
Row by Row Quilt UFO
I am considering getting the pattern all set and running this as a Block of the Month. With my busy season coming up, it would have to wait until January 2024.
Share your results, even if you haven’t finished your projects. You still accomplished something if you worked for just a few minutes on yours.
I would love to see what you are working on this month. Feel free to comment below or share on my Facebook page.
Until next time.
