Quilt UFO update for May 2023
This month, the outside chores really cut into my Quilt UFO Buster project. As of this post, I am about 75% complete. The hope is to find a couple of hours on Saturday morning to complete it or at least the top. There were leftover blocks, so I added a pillow to match. May’s project still makes my heart sing. Where will this quilt live when it is done? I am looking for just the right rocking chair to add to my living room.
There are plenty of mistakes and points that don’t meet up correctly, but that wasn’t the purpose of this pattern. This one went through the difficult times with me. It shows its scars, just as I do.
Hand Quilting
I talked about this at the beginning of the month. Even though machine quilting would be faster, I know that this quilt needs to be hand quilted. I will get it all prepped for the cooler months of quilting. This will give me something to do while hubby watches his shows. I will see what stencils I have for those background areas. I can almost “see” what I want to do here.

Share your results, even if you haven’t finished your projects. The sharing keeps many of us motivated. However, it sometimes adds to my project list because I like what I see. I will add a picture of the finished top as soon as it is complete.
I would love to see what you are working on this month. Feel free to comment below or share on my Facebook page.
Until next time.
