Mystery Quilt 2023: Step 4
This step is a quick, easy step for the mystery quilt. You are creating one half of a Flying Geese unit. The only difficult part is you need half of them in one orientation and half in the other. This step of the scrap quilt pattern will help to create texture and movement across your quilt.
Depending on the number of units you need, split your scrappy squares and background rectangles into two sets – one for set for each orientation. Sew all the pieces needed for one orientation and then switch to the other orientation.
Set-Up
Due to the fact that you aren’t sewing any of the units together or with other steps, you don’t have to worry about separating colors or backgrounds. Just enjoy some mindless, stress-free sewing.
When you are finished, press them carefully. Trim any blocks that need it.
