March – Quilt UFO Buster Update
To recap – Have you picked your projects for your Quilt UFO Buster list? See this post for more information, but the basic idea is to pick twelve projects and number them from one to twelve. Each month I will announce the number to work on. Below is the pdf to track your progress on your quilt project list. Just a few minutes a day for the Quilting UFO challenge.
January’s & February’s Projects – How did you do?
I enjoyed February’s project way more than January’s. Another project was completed! Happily, I can report that it is quilted, and the binding is finished. It is amazing how that makes me feel. Remember that any progress is a movement forward. Work on your projects when you can.
This month’s quilt UFO is going to require me to be creative in fitting in that sewing time. It is amazing how much you can get done in 10-15 minutes. Quilting is my way of relaxing after a hectic day.
I try to have everything all setup and ready to go. This keeps me from puttering around, gathering my supplies, and winding bobbins – doing that fussy work. Set up your sewing area so you can just sit down and sew for those 10-15 minutes. Am I always successful – nope, but it is something I strive for.
Quilt UFO – March’s Number is 10
I created and taught a Row by Row quilt class Once Upon a Time. Now it is time to finish my quilt. To the right is a graphic to give you a general idea of the project I am working on this month. Basically, I still have about 2/3’s of it to complete. Thankfully, this project was stored all together. The fabrics and general directions are all there.
Fortunately, I have a girl’s quilting weekend planned to focus on this project.
Want to stay updated?
I would love to hear about the project you want to work on this month. Take a minute to join the Facebook page. Share what you are working on in March. Actually, feel free to share your January and February projects too. Let us be a support system for finishing projects. If you put a project down because you ran into issues, share it with the group. I am sure a solution to the problem can be found.
Feel free to comment below or share on my Facebook page. I will do an update post partway through the month to share my progress.
Until next time.
