Quilt UFO – October

It’s October – Quilt UFO Time

We are closing in on the end of 2024; just a couple more months to finish your quilt UFOs. I will be cramming in my projects; summer time kept me busy. Playing catch-up was the name of the game in September. Let’s hope I can have a repeat for October. My Quilt UFO list is dwindling, but I would love to be able to finish them all.

Quilt UFO What's on the Machine

Machine Quilting

In September, I finished my July and August quilts. The September machine quilting project is halfway done. I am trying to remember how big the October project is. A picture will be posted once it is on the machine.

I am already contemplating my projects for 2025. Five quilts need bindings; some are small projects, but a couple of them are larger. Bindings will be on the list for next year. The shelf that holds my projects needing machine quilted has so much empty space! Now, I want to keep myself from filling it back up!

Quilt UFo – Foundation Piecing

Can I say there is a light at the end of the tunnel? I have three baggies left of foundation piecing units, so all those baggies in the photo are completed. Then comes sewing them together and picking out all that paper.

I separated the projects, and I was a bit disappointed. It seemed like such a huge project, but there really aren’t that many pieces. I just kept thinking about all that work.

Well, my goal for this project this month will be to unsew all the parts I did incorrectly. I am sitting here shaking my head because I messed up about half of the rows. This will be a good time to sit in the living room and unsew while Hubby watches something uninteresting….I mean, something that doesn’t interest me.

This project has no deadline; it is just the goal to work on it a little each month. I am taking a few steps back this month, but that’s ok. I am glad I found the issue now instead of when I am sewing those funky rows together.
