September Quilt UFO Progress
Well, September is two-thirds of the way done. I am finding more time to work in the sewing room. I have finally completed July’s and August’s machine quilting. The September Quilt UFO on my machine now. It feels great to complete some of my Quilt UFOs, but I still have foundation piecing and Jack’s Chain to work on.
Saturday Sew Day
Tomorrow will be an excellent day to focus on sewing and catching up on the projects. I need to finish September’s Quilt UFOs and prepare the last two Row by Row Monthly Quilt Sampler installments. You can still join the fun of the Row by Row Quilt pattern, but be sure to print the installments out before the new year. You can find the installments here.
Foundation Piecing – the Quilt UFO I am getting tired of
The 4th of July and Mariner’s Star by Judy Niemeyer are coming together nicely. I only have a few more baggies to work on. When it comes to putting the pieces together into quilts, I will wait until the new year. I was overly ambitious when I decided to finish them by the year’s end.
It is nice to see all the finished pieces rather than baggies full of units to be completed.
Jack’s Chain
I fall in love with this project more and more each time I work on it. We will see if I feel the same once I start sewing the wonky rows together. Initially, I was unsure how the colors would all work together, but it gave me an old-fashioned feeling, which is what I was looking for.
Quilt UFOs for Tomorrow
I will need to find some movies I can stream from my laptop. They will keep my brain busy so I can keep working on any tedious parts. If you have any suggestions for movies or shows, I am open to them all. I would like to start with the machine quilting, but we will see how the morning starts.
2025 Quilt UFOs
I am looking for suggestions for 2025’s Quilt UFOs. How would you like to play it? It keeps me engaged in the process when there is a game aspect. Right now, my brain is too tired to develop something clever. To stay updated, sign up using your email below or join my Facebook page: Quilting With Tamara.
Until next time.
