November Installment of the Row by Row Sampler
Are you ready for the November installment of the Row by Row Sampler? This scrappy pattern is wrapping up quickly! I love the photos I am seeing. It always amazes me how different the pattern will look. This block, the Ohio Stars, is one of my favorites. It may look simple, but there is so much that can be done with it.
You may remember from last month that I didn’t sew my blocks into rows. Mixing the last two rows together helps to give the quilt a sparkle.
Ohio Stars and Friendship Stars
By mixing these two rows, you create an interest that leans towards sparkling stars. Do not feel like you have to mix the blocks. You need to do you; create the quilt that you like. I tend to break rules and do my own thing when the inspiration strikes.
In my Row by Row Sampler, I alternated the blocks. Probably the most difficult part was separating the colors between the two rows and the rest of the quilt. At one point, I just had to consider it good enough, reminding myself that it would look good once it was all quilted. It is times like this that I wish I had looked for more color combinations.
Final Rows for the Row by Row Sampler
This installment is actually the final row. Next month, we will work on the quilt’s pieced border. Can you see the light at the end of the tunnel? I sure can. Next month is a crazy time for many of us. So, no worries if you don’t have time to work on this project. Just be sure to print off the pattern. With the amount of scrappy fabrics still in my bin, I could make a couple more quilts with this pattern.

Mystery Quilt Pattern
Continue to watch for the Mystery Quilt that is coming in 2025. Steps will be posted every two weeks (probably), although once a month works for me. Stay tuned for more information to come!
Until next time.
