Sewing Saturday – Flying Geese Scrap Quilt
Since it is a cold and slightly snowy Saturday here, my sewing room is calling. The Scrappy Flying Geese Quilt pattern is the focus for today. February’s scrap quilt hopefully will be all set for you at the beginning of the month. Sewing the quilt goes much faster than creating the directions.
You have some choices to make with this scrap quilt pattern. You can go all scrappy with it, but I didn’t have enough light colors for the background, so my quilt only has scrappy flying geese. Either way, the results will look great.
Question for you
When I am in my sewing room, I either listen to music, audiobooks, or a movie. Suggestions for movies or TV series would be greatly appreciated. Share your suggestion, please! I usually stream the movies or TV series.
What is your favorite background noise to play in your sewing room?
Sewing Saturday – Looking for something to do?
If you are looking for a project to do today, check out these pages for some ideas. You can join in on the Scrappy Row by Row Sampler or create the 2023 Scrappy Mystery Quilt. All the steps are available for the Scrappy Mystery, but the Row by Row just got started this year.
If you are looking for free scrap quilt patterns, check out this page. My goal is to add more scrap quilt patterns throughout the year. I would love to commit to each month, but those summer months are usually too busy. I enjoy my time in the garden.
Need to Focus – enough dawdling – time to focus on this scrap quilt
It is time to put on some music and get down to sewing. I’ve printed out my blocks and quilt for next month’s freebie. As I sew, I add notes, suggestions, and tips. It can become very messy depending on how chatty I feel while I sew. I often think about quilt retreats I have attended.
If I have any hope of having the pattern ready, I need to stop chatting with you all. Time to get down to business.
Until next time.
