Thursday Thoughts – Broken Needle

My Thursday Thoughts as I Ignore a Broken Needle

Thursday Thoughts

My Thursday Thoughts for Today: I have tried to take full advantage of this gloomy day by focusing on the quilt that is on my machine. There is about 1/4 left to do on the big machine, and what happens – a broken needle. It would be so easy to say I am done for the day. But, I don’t want to waste this day – it doesn’t happen often that I have a bit more free time.

Rambling Thoughts

Thursday Thoughts Quilt UFO September Peeled Back

So, while I let my thoughts ramble for a bit and release the frustration I am feeling, I decide it is time for a post. By the time I am done, I will be able to handle the needle change like a grown-up. Life’s frustrations can knock us off our focus. Today will not be one of those times. My goal is to finish on the big machine so I can focus on finishing those peeled-back parts. Take my advice, and if you are working on a larger project – do them before you machine quilt!

For those who are new to this page, here is the link for the book I am using by Annette Ornelas. You can find the book available on numerous sites, but it is nice to see what other patterns may catch your eye. It isn’t an affiliate link, I receive no compensation for sending you to her site; I just thoroughly enjoy the look of the peeled-back patterns.

Thursday Thoughts Take-away

Step back and take a deep breath. Usually, when I am dealing with something that pops up to impede my progress, it means that I need to take a break. It is time to do something else for a few minutes, then get back at it and finish up what I started. Enjoy your Thursday my friends!

I would love to see what you are working on this month. Feel free to comment below or share on my Facebook page.

Until next time.
